For those who are struggling on TRT

@Cataceous Do you think there is reason to believe that Xyosted has a higher absorption rate than regular TE due to its lack of preservatives and alcohol? The studies shows that 100mg leads to an average level of 900 TT, which seems higher than what people generally report for 100mg regular...

    Testosterone Cypionate Losing Potency?

This is good to know. Thank you both for your input. It sounds like I’m just being paranoid because I have recently felt off. I’d imagine for HCG injections, that the above technique may hurt the potency but doesn’t seem like it’s the same for the T. Do you guys use a withdrawal needle or just...

    Testosterone Cypionate Losing Potency?

I am nervous my T-cypionate is losing potency based on how I am injecting. I’ve been using insulin syringes to both draw and inject testosterone. Since it is hard to draw up the testosterone with the insulin syringe, I generally pull my plunger back much higher than my intended dose (to .4...

    Compound Pharmacy Kickbacks

This is what I assumed as well. If this is true, I feel like this is a phenomenon that deserves more scrutiny, especially if doctors are not disclosing this. I find it highly unethical for doctors to be prescribing medications that they are directly profiting from (or at the very least, not...

HCG Plus Androgens Other Than Test

“Even tho 100mg of test should bring most men’s LH and FSH very close to zero, we basically know that using say 1000mg of test per week will decrease fertility more than 100mg will, even tho LH and fsh are basically already zero’d out just on the 100mg.” I cannot comment on the deca aspect, but...

HCG Plus Androgens Other Than Test

@Gman86 how does TRT+HCG compare overall to HCG mono? I am currently deciding if I want to make a switch to the former. I am feeling solid on the HCG mono but its such a hassle when traveling and I wonder if I can feel better. I have sperm banked so fertility is not so large of a concern to me.

Women’s Birth Control vs TRT as Contraceptives and Potential Infertility

There is generally no fear of women permanently losing their fertility when they start birth control, even though birth control (generally a mix of estradiol and progesterone) is intended to shut down a woman’s HPG axis, leads to the lack of ovarian stimulation, and leads to ovarian shrinkage...

    Compound Pharmacy Kickbacks

Did doctors get kickbacks when they (could) prescribe HCG from Empower/Hallandale? People always said that TRT clinics “made a fortune” when dispensing HCG. So was there any system by which HCG could be prescribed and the doctor could make a profit?

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

How much are you paying for the HMG and where are you getting it?

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

Congrats! Did you have enough to freeze for IUI as well? Also, just as another update, my semen parameters have actually gotten stronger in recent months since I posted my first analysis.

Enclomiphene WAS working fantastically. What todo now?

I agree with that I think. The only study for long term safety for clomid use has studied it for three years. Three years is very short in the hypogonadal treatment horizon.

    Optum Specialty Pharmacy for HCG

No just HCG. I honestly think it’s because I’m insured that I get such a hard time. They often try to quote me at $115 for the HCG and then I have to correct them. I think it’s because if they charge $115 they would still claim a reimbursement from OptimRx/UHC (my insurance). These PBMs have...

    Optum Specialty Pharmacy for HCG

I have had nothing but issues when dealing with Optum Specialty pharmacy. They always have an excuse as to why my medication cannot be filled/shipped. Perhaps it’s because my medication is covered by OptumRx and my quoted price for it is 15$ a vial so their margins aren’t so large with a...

Any word @cosmoen on the semen results?

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

I think I’ve noticed the same thing too but the Pregnyl always felt stronger. I wouldn’t worry.

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

T+HCG ~ 600 HCG Mono ~ 1000 My guess is your protocol would be effective. I think FSH is much more powerful for sperm production than LH/HCG. I know FSH/HMG is expensive, but I feel like it should be recommended more often as a TRT adjunct given its convenience. I feel like your strategy in...

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

I generally hear 3 months is the minimum one should wait to test when on a new protocol. I think results often do get better though past the 3 month mark, so the 3 month mark does not represent the “max” you could say. I am not sure when that “max” might occur—probably depends on a host of...

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

Ok so my results are in. My S.A. when on T+HCG (80mg+1000iu a week) was 2 million/ml. My S.A. now on HCG mono (4500 iu a week split into 3x) is 16 million/ml. Total volume was 3 ml and 55% for motility. I’m pretty happy overall as I think this is enough to freeze for future IVF and IUI if...

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

I’ve always wondered if increased prolactin is associated with increased nipple itchiness whereas increased estradiol is associated with increased tenderness.

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

Interesting how you developed gyno with only somewhat high E2. My E2 on HCG mono at one point was at 78 and I got no sensitivity/tenderness. I think I saw somewhere else on the forum where you hypothesized that maybe it was also prolactin that contributed to your issues?

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

@Gman86 Generally I think people start with 500iu EOD and move to 1000iu EOD if needed. For inducing fertility in those with azoospermia, I believe it’s 1000iu-2000iu EOD.

    HCG: Storage, Travel, Potency

Following up on this thread regarding the point about HCG losing potency due to shaking when traveling when it is reconstituted. I’m not so nervous about bringing non-reconstituted HCG on planes, trains, etc. I am nervous however about bringing reconstituted HCG when traveling as HCG seems...

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

I think you’re referring to Gman86. He got 850 I believe. It’s possible my response may become stronger as leydig cells become stronger. Also, I think Gman86 had a stronger than average response. I’d say my response is more in line with a standard response to HCG.

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

I was on 80mg T and 1000iu HCG (Empower). I got like 550 TT overall. I once did Xyosted 75mg and 1000iu HCG (Pregnyl) and got like 700 TT. Another reason why I’m skeptical of Empower though it could have been that the Xyosted was stronger.

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

Hopefully you’ll get better results than I did on T+HCG since you’re using HMG as well. Also, I was infertile from the get-go (pre T+HCG) and I’m skeptical that the Empower HCG I was using was strong enough. HCG mono though should yield greater results 95% of the time relative to T+HCG.

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

Yeah 4500 iu a week for me overall. It’s hella expensive. I plan on just doing it short term until I can freeze some sperm. You may be able to run 1500 iu a week (500x3) and get solid levels, especially if you use Pregnyl.

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

Funny you should ask—I just did my first one today (Friday)! First one for HCG mono that is. Will update you when I receive my results. I am optimistic since the HCG yielded strong T levels, which I think serves as a proxy for fertility.

    Empower vs Pregnyl HCG

I did not previously go through this, and am happy to share. I’m in my mid twenties and I’ve always been very concerned about fertility, especially since my baseline LH/FSH (with no HRT of any sort ever until that baseline test) was near zero. I originally decided to go with T+HCG (1000iu) a...
