I will have to take a closer look, but many studies show, absolute superior accuracy with ultrasound, and/or fluoroscopic guidance for injections. However, oddly, efficacy is similar with and without guidance in numerous studies, despite the improved accuracy.
I actually have a bit of a blind spot when it comes to the relationship between iron and TRT (besides knowing that TRT stimulates erythropoiesis).
@Systemlord and @FunkOdyssey, can you guys gimme a place to start reading? Cliff Notes version? I have pulled a few articles, but they are pretty...
Yep. My two theories: Fatigue is from ultra high levels at their peak (T, DHT or E2). Or, it could be the opposite, which is such a mindF**K. It could be the drop in levels after the peak.
Interesting thought on iron. I never really give it much thought (at least not as much as our good friend...
These are all excellent points.
Agree on tyramine - likely the issue rather than histamine (alcohol jacks me up, too).
A long time ago, I did an elimination diet (not specifically low tyramine), but don't recall what I learned. For the last number of years, I have been fairly low carb...
I agree. I may try it in the next few days. Trying to decide if I should take Benadryl right away or wait an hour or two. Either way, I will probably give it a try.
It's mostly correct.
In theory, I am fine using cream. But, it has been a bit of a difficult pony to tame. Results have been really inconsistent. At times I feel supraphysiologic. But, more bothersome than that has been recurrent severe fatigue.
I think I posted about the fatigue elsewhere. I...
Anyone around here that has read any of my posts knows that the biggest thing that stands between me and achieving therapeutic HRT benefit is headache. @sammmy, or anyone else that has contemplated headache, what are your thoughts on histamine as a potential cause or contributory factor?
I have...
@TLR, are the numbers above you quote all with scrotal application? I had crazy numbers with scrotal application. I have since rotated dose and site (lower scrotal dose; combo of scrotal and extremity; extremity only). Anecdotally, I think my shoulders absorb well and upper inner thigh does not...
Good question and it's exactly what I need to do. Only reason I have not is I want labs after I have been doing the exact same protocol for several weeks. I tend to make small modifications more frequently than I should. Guilty as charged.
@RobRoy, that's a fair point. But, here I am getting ready to ask another question! I think you mentioned way back in the thread (or maybe I read this somewhere else), there is an occasional guy who needs TID dosing. How common is this? Rare?
I ask because I have been using cream for several...
I think this may be true. I feel log dog shit after injecting. I have systematically tried to isolate what variable is causing it. My next test is to try to get MCT oil compounded test to compare to seed oils, but I am having a helluva time getting South Lake to fill the Rx.
Meanwhile, sadly...
Following up on this. My Empower cream consistency is similar to prior batches, but I just got a batch that I strongly suspect is substantially weaker than prior batches. I have felt really shitty lately, and realized it corresponds to using the newest batch of cream I got a few weeks ago.
Did...
Empower sells oxandrolone. I have no idea how they get it or make it. Does anyone have an opinion on what this would do to their supply? I have a few bottles on the shelf. Have not used it out of caution, but would be nice to know I could still get it in the future if it became a treatment...
This is a doctor's office - not a pharmacy. Like an idiot, I asked my local TRT doc to send an Rx here and they got back to me and pointed out that it's someone else's practice!
Do you happen to know what pharmacy they use?
Hey, man, one thing to keep in mind is that this community is full of dudes who either have taken or are currently taking anti-depressants. We can debate their efficacy all day long, but the point is lots of guys feel they can't overcome a suboptimal mood that doesn't seem to rationally fit...
I am happy to test your theory on MCT oil, but can't seem to get my hands on it. Feel free to share a pharmacy that can compound it and send out of state.
I think beta blockers tipped me into pretty severe depression recently. Going off helped a lot. That said, I still have higher than usual depression and anxiety.
All right guys, I’m gonna come clean. I’m gonna let you in on a little known fact. What @BigTex pointed out is how I picked my screen name. I know - sounds incredibly cheesy. I leaned on this site a ton before joining, trying to figure all my crap out. When I decided to finally jump in, I had to...
Gents, haven’t been here in a while. Just trying to feel good and part of me realized that all the reading in the world won’t accomplish that. That said, I’m with you @tareload and @Charliebizz. I have also been trying to get my hormones straight, and at some point realized that hormones alone...
@tareload, I know you mentioned in the past you have sertraline on hand, but you use lexapro. Have you ever been on sertraline? If so, how would you compare the experience to lexapro? I have been on it for a few months, but have been dropping the dose over time because of side effects.
Where is...
This is odd: the same article title was published in a different journal with different results. The article was published a month after the one referenced in the original post here and the results are worse. The 3 and 6 month total T levels are a lot lower than what is referenced in the...
Good sleep is key! I don’t think I noticed this in the early days, but I now think I can feel the ups and downs between doses. It’s possible that when you fall asleep on the couch, by then, your energy level is dropping due to your dose being 5 to 6 hours prior. Just speculation. Either way, if...
