4 years ago at age 50 I started TRT (and HCG) after a divorce. My total T was 477. I was very depressed and not feeling real confident to get back out there so I thought it might help. I believe it did to some extent. However, I also believe it introduced some negative sexual side effects, such...
+1 for Melatonin. I've dealt with early waking insomnia for years. I take 8-10mg every night, a combination between instant release and extended release. That usually solves the problem.
Thanks for the replies. Only problem with Sudafed and Benadryl is one wires me out and one puts me to sleep. Of course if it's real late that's not a problem but that's not always the case.
I guess I'll try slightly less again and see what happens. But it's difficult even to do small decreases...
I'm 54, and when I get to a Trimix dosage that works consistently, which is between 5 and 5.5 units, I'm good for between 3 and 3.5 hours. I don't need 3.5 hours, though I have taken advantage of it occasionally for a 2nd round. But if I lower the dosage I get inconsistent results.
I've read...
I'm 54. A few months ago I increased my Cyp dose to 112mg/week (HCG = 800iu/week), primarily because I was recovering from rotator cuff surgery and I thought it might help speed things up a little. I inject every 3.5 days. I noticed recently that I wouldn't get wood for the first couple days...
My Hematocrit runs 53-55 and I donate every 3 months. I don't like it, but I haven't been able to do anything about it. I wouldn't donate if I was under 53.
If you’re not feeling 10mg it’s probably crap. I get Amphetamine Salts at CVS and 10mg will make me very productive and energetic for 4 hours. I can clearly feel it come on after around 20 minutes.
Edit: One warning, for me it decreases my sex drive and causes anorgasmia. I have to stop it 2...
Really interesting. I think that makes the most sense of anything I've heard. If this is the case, is it likely stopping TRT would eventually allow a return to normal? I started to go off once and lasted two weeks before depression started getting worse.
I'll look into your suggestions, thank you.
Certainly give it a little more time. Also, for me, the difference between 200SR and 300XL was very significant. It CAN increase insomnia. I take 3mg instant Melatonin, and also 5mg Melatonin which combines 2mg instant with 3mg slow release. Never takes longer than 15 minutes for me to get to...
Trimix definitely makes orgasm more difficult for me. Vardenafil works best but time is limited. When I want unlimited time without having to worry about it there is no substitute for Trimix.
No, "daily injections, 112 MG Cyp and 700iU HCG weekly." Last labs at trough were:
Total T: 477
Free T: 24.7 (7.2-24)
Estradiol Sensitive: 22.6
Those numbers were on 100MG Test Cyp and 1,000iu HCG weekly, dosing half of those numbers twice per week.
I'm just going to chime in on depression and Bupropion. 4 years ago when I started TRT I was 50 years old and extremely depressed after divorce and business problems (though my depression is not only situational). TRT gave me a very mild mood boost. I started Bupropion around 2.5 years ago...
I never actually stopped HCG completely for more than around 1.5 weeks, but I did reduce from 1000iu weekly to 500iu with no long term improvement. I will see how this donation works out. It is extremely hard to track everything with so many variables. I do try to give every change at least 6-8...
I continue my search for reasons for delayed orgasms since starting TRT about 3 years ago. I also have to use either Levitra or Trimix whenever I have sex. I'm 54 and didn't have these issues before TRT. I'm wondering if any of you high Hematocrit people have noticed a link between that and...
OT maybe, but I can confirm a sustained improvement in libido in my case since I started taking Bupropion 2 years ago. I noticed it as soon as I started, and while it may not be as strong now it is still very significant. It’s been great and I would suggest anyone with depression and libido...

That's really interesting about the HCG. I actually haven't ever focused on changing it to see if it helps, I've been either at 400 or 500/week. Can you expound on your experience with that a little? Hopeful on the Progesterone! And thanks for the tip.
I have never found any kind of explanation for this. I started having to use sex drugs every time shortly after starting TRT four years ago. I also loss sensitivity and the ability to orgasm easily.
Has anyone tried going off to see if it comes back? I started to go off with a protocol from...
Yes, certainly I have no idea what effect it would have on someone else. I am definitely lucky it works that way for me.
For someone with depression it is certainly worth a try.
I have been on TRT for 2+ years and Wellbutrin (Bupropion) for around 8 months. I take 300XR every morning as soon as I open my eyes. My TRT protocol is 46MG Cyp 2x/week along with 500iu HCG at the same time.
My depression did improve slightly when I started TRT, but at the time I went on...
My Hematocrit was almost 55 at one point, at 120 or 130mg/week Cyp, and I began donating every 3 months.
I tried more frequent and daily injections and a few natural “remedies.” The only thing that worked in the end was reducing my dosage. I changed to 100mg/week for 3 months and it dropped to...
100mg is a good place to start, or you could break it up and do 50mg twice a week. I’m doing 40mg twice a week now and feel great. Along with 500iU HCG, 2x week At the same time.
I think it took at least a few weeks to get any noticeable benefits. It’s subtle.
Again, I really don’t think you...
I developed headaches, bad ones, from Viagra. And then I started getting them from Cialis. Since switching to Levitra I’ve not had any issues. Love it. Take half of the 25mg pill from Empower so it’s about $5/dose. Take with or without food.
Sorry for the delay. I've only done daily shots once, for one week, and it didn't change anything. Usually I'm bi-weekly.
My levels at 100mg/week with 800iu HCG/week, from my last labs, were 655 Total and 21 Free. I was very happy to have a free level so high with that lower total. I've been as...
Actually I was the opposite. I was in a pretty bad depression (I also take Wellbutrin) and from what I was reading I was hoping that TRT would help both that and my anxiety. I do believe that it did. Not cure, but help. From my experience, I really can't imagine it making your anxiety worse, but...
