Yeah, I believe I do remember reading something about him recommending daily hcG injections.
I did not realize it was for that reasoning though.
Thought it was to help keep a steady e2 level rather than the twice per weeks spike with injecting twice per week.
Very cool.
I’ll bring this up at...
Something I was very pleased to find out after I started on hcG is the relaxation/calmness it brings after you inject it and lasts for about 8-10 hours.
It can be very faint but just enough to where I look forward to the days I inject it.
It’s not some druggy high or anything but just a better...
Any Defy patients here get a testosterone prescription and take it to a local pharmacy to fill using the goodrx app?
Just realized I could be paying $70 per 10ml vs the $130 I’m paying by doing it with empower.
My first scheduled follow up wasn’t until the 3 month mark.
At 6 weeks I wanted to see what was going on.
I ordered test (total & free) and sensitive e2 test. You can order these anytime, don’t need approval or anything.
After seeing how low everything was I did a mini consult with a nurse a...
Both of these put my mind at ease.
I was thinking just adding 40 more mg of test would only raise my t up about 50-75 pts based on what the 140 did.
Good to know it doesn’t work like that.
Was worried I would hit the 200mg mark and be stuck in the 600 range and they be like that’s the best we...
Mixed it with the solution water that came with it from the pharmacy.
Yea I’ve been following their instructions to a tee. Also slightly ocd, so I usually triple check everything.
Does units = IU?
For example does 50 units = 500 IU?
When I take 50 units of hcG that is a full insulin syringe.
@Vince I feel confident I’m taking the correct dosages. I use a 1cc syringe for the testosterone. Was drawing 0.35 when I was taking 70mg per injection.
Now with the 90mg I’m...
I know SHBG plays a major part in determining the frequency of injections. With mine being right in the middle range I think twice a week is a good setup from everything I’ve read and what I recall the Dr saying.
They bumped the hcG up to 100 units a week from 80 units.
No symptom relief at all yet.
Literally feel nothing from it.
If 140mg test only raises my test 200 points will just 40 more mg really raise it that much more?
Here are my lab results before starting TRT.
Below are my 6 week updated bloodwork results on TRT @ 140mg Test Cyp total per week & 80 units of hcg total per week. Twice per week injections.
Total Test - 467
Free Test - 19.8
E2 Sensitive - 17.3
I got my dosage upped with the nurse I seen...
From my recall with Dr. Calkins he said yes I would need a full set of labs. Like the $270 one you did at first. Idk if anything new will be added to that.

Currently half way through my 2nd week on trt.
Haven’t noticed much of anything at this point.
Hopefully the libido boost will come soon.
Only things I’ve noticed is my nose gets stuffed up every night when I’m asleep.
Also, I’m finding it difficult to wake up in the mornings, even on days...
All of the regular pros & cons of being on trt are always discussed, but what about benefits that most people don’t notice?
For example, what if the regular trt blood work that you get done could help draw attention to something health wise that you might not of recognized until it’s to late...
Found this on empowers website.
“Free Supplies. We provide all the necessary supplies such as syringes, alcohol wipes, needles and reconstitution kits (prescription required). We also give our patients complimentary instruction pamphlets and documents. This translates to significant money...
Has anyone who is with Defy got insurance to reimburse them?
I know Defy can fill out the form to send to my insurance company but was just seeing if it was even worth the time to try.
From what I keep reading it seems the Max timeframe to keep hcG after mixing it is 60days.
On the bottle it says to use within 30 days after mixed.
I don’t go back for blood work & to reorder my resupply for 3 months.
So should the pharmacy of sent me 3 vials of hcG that I could mix each...
Yeah, I’ve even seen it with my current job as well. But like Jesse said, I’m not high enough on the totem pole to make calls to change stuff that big.
Me too. Thanks man.
Appreciate it!
Got the call first thing this morning to get my meds ordered!
One thing I think would be great is if Defy would have the process setup where you basically deal with one person (like your rep per say) rather than different people handling different parts...
