All strong advice above. Kind of common sense, but let's face it sometimes we over complicate things when solutions done consistently over time, will produce results. I took 5mg of Lexapro for GAD and it helped, but nothing helped relieve anxiety for me the way a simple diet and exercise program...
It's interesting to consider where we will be 10 years from now with trt and the various ancillary drugs/supplements. My response to DHEA could not be more opposite than yours. The reason for that, hopefully we learn in the years to come. Continued success.
You're overthinking it. You won't have any of those issues with 29g 1/2" needles. The pharmacist will still tell me cyp won't work with that size needle. I remind him we have this same conversation every few months.
The mistake I made starting out 5 years ago was injecting too much cyp (160 mg once weekly), without an AI. For a low SHBG guy, that's a recipe for disaster in most cases. What is your SHBG? Adding a low dose AI into my protocol has made a great difference. AI's are strong though. A small dose...
Emotions, water gain (soft body), inability to achieve solid/sustained erections with any consistency, etc. I take .125 mg with each injection. It makes a difference in my overall wellbeing.
I sleep better with low dose T, shot multiple times a week, and I still need an AI to control E. Otherwise I'll convert to too much E, and high E for me (which is low E for most) prevents quality sleep. When I get my LCMSMS E to high single digits - low teens, I sleep better.
readalot - I'll order both tests and that's about right for me too.
Gman86 - My libido may be up a little when my E2 is higher. Keep in mind that high E2 for me would be considered low E2 to most others. But it's darn near impossible for me to get an erection with high E2. When I get my E2 in...
That is interresting Gman. There's another guy here who will occasionally get higher numbers from the sensitive test. I too will often pay for both tests. Sensitive for me is best between 8 - 12 on the labcorp scale. You show a lot E2 fluctuation.
I'm in agreement with Vince. If your SHBG is low your free E2 could be high with a sensitive E2 of 26. I'd likely get face bloat with a sensitive E2 of 26. But since you've lost weight overall, it's probably something else.
Maximus220rr - My shbg usually sits in the mid teens. I can tolerate very litle movement in E2. Early on I didn't know better so I followed the anti AI advice. The anxiety was terrible. I remember a few years ago I had tremendous anxiety (always after my T shot) and just decided to take an AI...
I've patiently adjusted my protocol over the last 5 years and simply can not achieve an erection without an AI. Under your protocol, the HCG would be what would cause the ED in me. For you, maybe it's the AI, I do not know. You probably know how to find out.
I've always found it interesting that those who proudly boast how their robust consumption of porn has no bearing on erection quality, are often the same guys who tout an army of supplements and meds (their "stack") that they use to achieve erections.
The experience I've had with minor adjustments to my protocol are all the studies I need. Low dose AI and keeping E2 at or lower than my SHBG can be a winning formula. But likely won't work for the guy with mid/high SHBG. Understanding the role SHBG plays can lead to success.
Haven't taken lexapro in a decade, but remember the doc wanting me to start on a starter dose of 10 mg and then we can work our way up to 25mg. I cut my pill down to 5 mg and got good results, I cut it again to 2.5 and kept it there until I just dropped the ssri. Had I listened to the docs...
That's what I did. I got off trt after two years. I went back to bbaseline. 6 months later I adjusted my approach and got back on with far better results.
Charliebizz - No need to apologize for your thoughts or how you interpret your or anyone else's experience on TRT. I agree with most everything you said, just don't have time currently for a lengthy response.
Glad you're feeling good Vince. As VC points out earlier, it's great that you can achieve such high free T with a relatively low dose for a guy with your shbg. You've got the right formula. Continued success!
It was just an overall uneasy feeling more so than anything specific that my labs would suggest. Difficulty sleeping, erection problems, I'd get angry quickly...none of which did I have pre TRT. Although I was in as good a shape as I was 20 years earlier, it just wasn't worth it to me. It...
Physically they should be in good shape, assuming diet/exercise/sleep
How's it going ERO - We all know we're different, but for me the cut off for minimum dose, with pretty cool gains in both strength and physique, would be 120 mg per week. I was on 160 mg per week and made great gains. But at...
