Bimix needle length question

Hi gents, I have been injecting bimix (pap 30, phe 3) with a 1/2in (13mm) 29g needle and no amount has ever worked. In a consult with a uro I discovered the issue is because I am not reaching the cavernous tissue. My penile circumference is 6.5 in around is apparently the issue.

I started with 3 units then 5 and got no responses. Tried 5 a few more times, never anything. I thought maybe the issue was that I have to hit a minimum "magic" amount and that anything less won't work, but from reading posts here, it looks like smaller amounts will indeed work, just for extremely short periods of time. Like 3 units may not have been enough but it should have done something for a few minutes.

I am nervous to try pushing the 1/2in further because I don't want to push right through into the other side. I see 5/8in (16mm) available, anybody ever use that?

Something is wrong with your product. Can you post a pic of the vial and its ingredients? Did you get a powder plus bacteriostatic water or a pre-diluted product?
 
Compounded. I had a weaker bimix (pap 15 / phe .5 also compounded from Belmar pharmacy) before this one that also did not work but I had been using an 8mm syringe.

I have been using ICI therapies for years now. It is highly likely the bi mix isn't potent enough for you. You would be better served switching or at least trying Tri Mix. It's unlikely the needle length is the cause in my opinion. Why? because the blood flow throughout both cavernosum, takes the meds throughout the tissue anyway since the blood supply is shared. I use the even shorter 5/16th needles, and as long as injection technique is good, meaning don't move the needle once placed so it does not bend, I get an excellent response every time. I also find the 5/16th long 31 gauge (finer than the 30 gauge) more comfortable. I ended up settling on a very potent form of Quad Mix, because I could use or inject much less of it for the desired effect which makes the injections more comfortable too.
 
When the needle enters the cavernous tissue, you'll "feel" it. Not painful mind you, but there is a distinct sensation when the needle reaches the right spot. It could be that you need a 5/8" needle.

It could be that your Bimix isn't potent enough or is just "bad". I've had excellent results using Empower's TriMix (BiMix, QuadMix, etc.). The vial always arrives dry and you have to mix in 5 ml of bacteriostatic water to reconstitute (which Empower provides).

Once I reconstitute the vial, I fill a bag of ten 30 gauge, 3/10 cc 1/2" needle syringes with 4 to 6 units of TriMix. I then pull back the plunger on the syringe to give it some air space. I place the syringes and the TriMix vial in the freezer. When I need to fill more, I defrost the TriMix vial, shake it good then fill another 10 syringes. Back into the freezer it all goes. I've kept a vial of TriMix for over a year [frozen] and it doesn't lose potency this way.

To use, take a syringe out of the freezer and hold it in your hand for a minute or two [to defrost]. Remove air bubbles from the syringe and inject.

I use Akina Pharmacy, and they typically send all their ICI products via 2.5 mm vials pre mixed on ice. (they are also typically less expensive at $189 per 10 ml. they will also produce a "trial vial" 2.5ml for $49 to try it out first) You simply put them in the freezer and take one out, thaw it, pull out what you need, and place it back in the freezer. According to Akina, once the vial top is pierced, it should ONLY be used until the use by date. After that, your risk of non sterile product increases because each time you draw vials, you also inject some air. I like the convenience of smaller vials, not having to mix, keeping them frozen and ready to go. I have not in years of use, had an issue with substandard or degraded product. Injection technique is really important, and while injection doesn't yield a lot of pain, it's also not what I would call without any discomfort. I have been told, not bragging, I have quite a bit of girth, and I have no problem getting the short 5/16" 31 gauge needle when fully embedded, to work quite well. It is also important to know the product you use. In my case, Akina tells me to expect it to take 10 minutes to fully work.
