I won’t be able to see my doctor for another month. What I was thinking is to just cut my daily injections from 10mg to 5mg and increase my HCG to 20 units 3x per week
I also have Gilbert’s and my bilirubin can run high at times. And when my hematocrit gets above 55 my bilirubin also gets high. Remember bilirubin is made from red blood cells that die off so the elevated red cells can increase bilirubin.and I get itchy especially after a hot shower.

I am going to inquire with my clinic about trying the scrotum cream. Hypothetically would an iron supplement raise hematocrit? My hematocrit seems to rise just as fast even with low ferritin.
Haven’t donated blood in years because when I was donating 4 times per year my ferritin dropped as low as 0 (according to labs). After lowering my T dose and stopping all phlebotomies, it took about 2 years to get a normal (in the 40s) ferritin level.

EXACTLY! I was having trouble walking and standing, my legs hurt so much. I stopped the 10mg Crestor 2 days ago and already feel much better. Will ask for a different statin.

My Hematocrit came back at 47 after I donated blood. He raised the dose slightly and added HCG and wants new labs in January but I may not wait that long. I’m thing late November just for my own peace of mind
I donated blood for the first time in 4 years because my hematocrit was 55.5
One week post donation my Ferritin came back at 27.2 -
Normal value: 22.0 - 322.0 ng/mL
Still considered normal, and I wish I knew what it was before the donation.
How bad will it be for my ferritin If I have to...
